The Once and Future King, a book series written by T.H. White, tells the stories of King Arthur and the round table, Merlin the magician, Lancelot, and Guinevere. The stories were written between the war-plagued years of 1920 and 1945, so the design shows the influences of a time wrought with turmoil and human suffering.
